CHINA INTERNATIONAL ECONOMIC AND
TRADE ARBITRATION COMMISSION,SHANGHAI COMMISSION
CIETAC-Shanghai, set up on March 15,1990,is an integral
part of CIETAC .The Vice-Chairman being authorized by the chairman
of CIETAC is in charge of CIETAC-Shanghai .It has asecretariat office
to handle its daily affairs under the leadership of the secretary
general. CIETAC-Shanghai executes the same functions as CIETAC and
its Shenzhen commission ,applies to the same Arbitration Rules and
the Panel of Arbitrators.
After a decade of exploration and development, the
caseload of CIETAC-Shanghai increases continuously .The  disputes
arise from the fields of international trade ,the Sino-foreign jointventure
and cooperative projects ,financial loans ,insurance ,construction
work ,real estate ,.etc .The clients are those from nationwide and
more than 30 countries and regions all over the world .Nearly 80
arbitral awards rendered by CIETAC-Shanghai had been recognized
and enforced overseas .CIETAC-Shanghai has enjoyed a sound cooperation
and exchange relationship with other World-famous international
commercial arbitration institutes.
The additional services provided by CIETAC-Shanghai
are as follows:
I. Consultation services for arbitration proceedings;
II. Providing the documents and materials concerning
the dispute resolution by arbitration ,including the Arbitration
Rules of other international commercial arbitration institutes.
III. Providing various kinds of model contracts ,including
the Import and Export Contracts ,Sino-Foreign Joint Venture and
Cooperative Contracts and Financial Loan Agreements ,etc .
IV. The arbitrators of CIETAC may give academic lectures
as requested.
V. Providing publications of CIETAC and its sub-commission
,including professional magazines, collections of cases analysis
,etc.
